It’s amazing how many of us cling to this axiom. There is no reward for treating others well, other than the simple pleasure of being in a position to be helpful. Conversely, there is no ulterior force waiting to exact revenge among those who misbehave.
It’s a little disconcerting to state this retort to what is meant to be a positive adage; since it is actually a declarative for us to be aware of what we do to others. But it needs to be stated that we need to do more instead of just hoping that “things will work out in the end”. We need to establish outcomes by getting off our behinds and showing others what needs to be done. We need to teach others how to be productive citizens. We need to correct those who are doing wrong.
It is not enough to rely on our Faith in God. Our belief in a Supreme Being should not be a crutch that will stop us from putting our plans in action. For it is not Faith that will move a mountain, but people working together to accomplish a goal, acknowledge a wrong, educate the ignorant, or even feed the hungry that actually pushes the biggest mounds of dirt.
Don’t wait for somebody behaving poorly to “get theirs”. Enlighten them. Educate them. Lead by example. Contact the authorities if necessary. For God not only helps those who helps themselves, he helps those who helps others.

Excellent post. Everyone, including myself, will learn from it.
